My passion, as a therapist, is to collaborate with clients to achieve the counseling goals we create together. The focus of my work is toward a whole person-centered approach to bring clients into emotional health and wellness to live their best life. I work with clients who have concerns with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, anger, grief, loss, relationship conflicts, sexual abuse, interpersonal violence, spirituality, couples and family issues.
I specialize in providing trauma-informed care in the treatment of PTSD and trauma with the use of EMDR therapy. I am currently working towards certification in the near future with this modality. I also utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I also have experience providing telehealth counseling through Doxy.me when needed.
Prior to obtaining my Professional Counseling license at Winebrenner Theological Seminary, I was a stay-at-home mother who raised 4 children and built a consulting business with my family. In my spare time, I might be found enjoying the outdoors by gardening, caring for my pets, or spending time with family and friends around a meal or a campfire.
