Angie Swonger, (MA, LPC) Licensed Professional Counselor
Before obtaining a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Winebrenner Theological Seminary, Angie spent twenty years as an educator of students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to adults preparing for GED exams. An ordained minister, she serves as an outreach and women’s ministry pastor.
Through transitioning those who have been homeless toward stable living conditions, she is equipped in social- and life-skills counseling. She therapeutically walks alongside women, individually and in groups, through matters pertaining to forgiveness, relationships, the impact of self-talk, and purposeful leadership. During an internship focused on sexual behaviors and addictions, she counseled juveniles and adults, individually and in group settings. She is also trained in career, grief, marriage and relationship counseling, along with counseling children and adolescents through concerns with conduct and developmental delays. With all ages, she counsels those striving to manage anger, assertiveness, anxiety, depression, compulsions, and trauma.
With a background in biblical application, education, and human development, in-depth training in schemas, triggers, and behavior management, and an insightful awareness of women’s issues, Angie counsels from a whole-person, strength-based approach with a foundation of compassion and hope.
